Flu Clinic’s

Update From NHS England – 50-64 yr olds

The Government has confirmed that the flu vaccination programme will be extended from 1st December 2020 to include registered patients between the ages of 50-64.

General practice was informed of the extension to the current flu vaccination programme the same time it was announced to the general public.

Please be patient whilst we await delivery of the flu vaccination, which we anticipate will be early to mid December 2020.  We will continue to deliver the flu vaccination into the New Year 2021.

Once we have received delivery you will be invited to attend the surgery for your free flu vaccination.

Why am i being asked to wait?

To help answer questions you may be getting on flu vaccine availability, PHE (Public Health England) has created a new two-page leaflet. It explains there is sufficient vaccine available for all eligible groups. It also highlights why a person who is eligible may be asked to wait for a vaccine while reassuring them they will be able to have one before flu season starts.  The leaflet which is available to download or order is available from here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/flu-vaccination-why-you-are-being-asked-to-wait
